Crush
Crush: configure the API key, model and provider in your terminal.
Published instructions · App version: unverified
Chat, ping, invoke and content-generation examples may send real billable requests. Check the model, balance, rate and minimum before running them. GET /v1/models checks authentication and the catalogue only. Set up environment variables safely
Base URL to paste
OpenAI SDKs generally use a URL ending in /v1; Anthropic SDKs use the root URL. Avoid adding /v1 twice. Protocol compatibility does not guarantee every provider feature.
https://thapi.cloud/v1Prerequisites
- Install Crush
- API keys
Recommended model: gpt-5.6-sol
Quick way — command / config
export STALI_API_KEY="sk-thapi-..."Where to place file / fill Settings
Filemacos
~/.config/crush/crushrc
Crush v0.98.2: save the two built-in commands in crushrc rather than running them directly in the terminal. Set STALI_API_KEY in the environment before starting crush.
Filelinux
~/.config/crush/crushrc
Same as macOS.
Filewindows
%USERPROFILE%\.config\crush\crushrc
Set $env:STALI_API_KEY in PowerShell; crushrc still uses the $STALI_API_KEY syntax shown in the example.
Verify connection
- Run crush models to check the loaded models; select thapi/gpt-5.6-sol in Crush before sending a paid test chat.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Reason | How to handle |
|---|---|---|
| 401 | STALI_API_KEY is missing from the process environment. | Set STALI_API_KEY, then restart the app from the same terminal. |
Notes
- This example targets Crush v0.98.2 and has been tested for local config loading. Older versions need an upgrade; OpenCode JSON is not a Crush configuration.
- If XDG_CONFIG_HOME is set, the global path is $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/crush/crushrc. crushrc executes as a shell; use only trusted content.
